Pope Francis on Abortion

Pope Francis has been unequivocal in his condemnation of abortion, consistently labeling it as murder and a grave sin throughout his pontificate. He affirms the Catholic Church's teaching that life must be protected from the moment of conception, asserting that scientifically, the embryo is a human life, period. He has described the practice as part of a destructive "culture of waste" that devalues human life, including the unborn, and has compared abortion to hiring a hitman to solve a problem. This position, he argues, is based on a fundamental anthropological and human issue, not merely religious doctrine.
