He Lifeng on Hong Kong

He Lifeng, in his capacity as Chinese Vice Premier, has voiced strong support for the development and consolidation of Hong Kong's status as an international financial and shipping centre. He urged Hong Kong to proactively deepen its connection with the country's new five-year plan and enhance economic and financial cooperation with the mainland. Furthermore, he called on the city to leverage its unique role as a 'bridge' to participate actively in global financial governance research and practice.
